What donors should know

General Information

• The administrative expenses associated with the operation of this fund will be paid by Dabiri Foundation. Therefore 100% of the donated fund will go towards the student loan project. In addtion most of the efforts are contributed by dedicated volunteers, most of whom are former students of Dr. Modjtahedi from Alborz High School, Sharif University of Technology (originally Aryamehr Technical University), Tehran Polytechnic University (currently Amirkabir University of Technology), National University, and Shiraz University.
• All Loan Committee members, who are responsible for selecting fund recipients, are recognized university professors in their field. 
• The fund has the support of the Modjtahedi family.  Bijan’s Modjtahedi's letter of support
• The interest rate on the loan will be as low as possible consistent with Federal Government rules.  The loan structure was chosen to make sure that as many students as possible could benefit from each dollar contributed.
• The status of donations committed/collected, the total amounts of loans and grants extended, and other useful statistics will be posted annually on the web site.
• No fund will be available to any relatives or business affiliates of the Dr Modjtahedi Foundation, including relatives and business affiliates of board members, advisory board members, and loan committee members.
• Donor names will be posted on the web site at the option of the donors.
• All donations are tax deductible to the extent of the law.

Sponsorhip Categories

Donations of any amount are appreciated and help us achieve the Fund’s goals.  We have established some specific sponsorship categories, however, in order to specially thank donors of certain amounts, as reflected below.

Sponsors ($200 and up)

Sponsors receive:

• The Ancient Persians Art and Technology DVD covering periods from the Elamite to the Sassanid Dynasties

Silver Sponsors ($1,000 and up)

Silver Sponsors receive the above, plus:

• The option of dedicating the donation to a loved one.  The Dr. M. A. Modjtahedi Foundation will send a personalized tribute card to the honored person, or the family of a deceased loved one, notifying them of the dedication 
• An eight-set DVD package recording various recognitions of Dr. Modjtahedi's life time achievements 

Gold Sponsors ($5,000 and up)

Gold Sponsors receive the above, plus:

• Four tickets to the annual “Dr. Modjtahedi Celebration Event”
• Recognition at the annual “Dr. Modjtahedi Celebration Event”

Platinum Sponsors ($15,000 and up)

Platinum Sponsors receive the above, plus:

• The option of assigning one or more fields of study to the donated funds
• Exquisite personalized Appreciation Plaque from the Dr. M. A. Modjtahedi Foundation memorializing the donation
• Table of eight to the annual “Dr. Modjtahedi Celebration Event”
• Recognition in the promotional material advertising the “Dr. Modjtahedi Celebration Event”

Diamond Sponsors ($50,000 and up)

Diamond Sponsors receive the above, plus:

• A table for 12 at the annual “Dr. Modjtahedi Celebration Event”
• Opportunity to address the audience on an appropriate topic at the event
• An appreciation luncheon with fund recipient(s), hosted by the Dr. M. A. Modjtahedi Foundation
